Well, I haven't really been interested in any of the Rotf figures, save Arcee and Devastator, so with this shortage, I was slowly pulled back into Lego. Today, I will review my first Lego Star Wars set I have gotten in a long time: the Assassin Droid Battle Pack.
THE PACKAGING-
I quite like the Clone Wars packaging. Maybe it's the clone helmet in the corner, or maybe it's how glossy the box is. I dunno, something about just says: Look! I'm a toy! On the packaging, we see the Assassin droids with their speeder, shooting the set description for the hell of it.
THE ASSASSIN DROIDS-
I am a big fan of Assassin Droids, however I thought the Lego minifigures of them where lame, with their oversized heads. However, I have grown to really like them. You get three normal Assassin droids in silver(!!!11!!!1!) and two Elite Assassin Droids in black. I appreciate that Lego went the extra mile and made the normal ones silver, instead of just making them grey. I do like the Elites a bit more though.
GUNS!-
You get five guns- Four blasters and a rifle. I really like the rifle. The blasters are cool, but it was really nice that Lego threw in a rifle as well.
THE SPEEDER-
The speeder is awesome. I could end the review right there, but I will tell you why it is awesome.
The colors work great and are nicely balanced. It looks aerodynamic without looking skinny. It has some interesting build techniques, such as the side panels being attached to the side, and the back wing thingamajigs look great. I especially like the front, with the blaster parts and blue pieces.
Back view-
Here, we get a good look at the gunner, and the incredibly underrated flick-fire missiles. Seriously, I don't see the problem with these. Flick them, and they fire.
The inner workings of the speeder-
Here is a good shot of the space the Assassin Droids sit in, as well as how the base of the speeder is constructed. The instructions also tell you to but a single stud black piece in the empty space. I don't know why, It serves no purpose. But it's not like it takes away from the vehicle.
FINAL VERDICT-
I'm very happy I chose to get the ADBP. The Assassin Droids are awesome, and the speeder is simple but great. For $10.99, you definitely get what you paid for.

GI Joe Rise of Cobra Cobra Commander Review
After learning how to post pictures here, I decided to make another review. This time, it's of Cobra Commander.
THE PACKAGING-
The packaging is the standard for the RoC line. The bubble is nicely packed, filled with the plethora of accessories that Cobra Commander comes with.
BACK-
Once again, the usual.
BIO CARD-
THE FIGURE-
Cobra Commander has a great presentation. It looks nothing like the original Cobra Commander, but the look grows on you. I was originally bugged by the mask being transparent, but having the figure in hand, I actually don't mind.
One thing I would like to note, is that the first release Cobra Commanders all had holes in the armor for tubes. The tubes never actually came with him, and because of this, it seems later releases of Cobra Commander (like mine) have the holes filled in.
The back has nothing of notice except a small hole for a backpack.
ACCESSORIES-
Cobra Commander comes with many accessories. Six, to be exact.
-Communicator
-Nanomite Injector
-Gun
-Cobra
-Missile Launcher
-Base
The communicator is my least favorite of his accessories. It's not bad, but he can only hold it by the antenna, and it's a bit chunky for my tastes. This can be stored on his left leg.
The nanomite injector is my favorite off all his accessories. He holds it well, and it looks good, with a touch of green paint. I also like how he holds it. This can be stored on his right leg.
His gun is a repainted 25th Anniversary Cobra Commander gun, which was a re-size of the original gun. He holds it nice and tight, and is the perfect size. Not to big, not to small.
Next up, is the small Cobra. I could have lived without it, but it's a nice throw in. There's a bit of green paint on the head.
Then, there's the giant missile launcher, which I'm guessing is a giant nanomite (nanite?) launcher. It's an over the shoulder launcher, and is a little bit smaller than the others. It looks a little more realistic than some others, but if your not sold on these yet, than I don't think this one will change your mind about these.
The final accessory is the stand, which is already pictured. It's the same sculpt as all Cobra stands, and it says Cobra Commander across the front.
ARTICULATION-
Cobra Commander has the standard articulation that most GI Joe figures have. The legs aren't really hindered by the cape. The head can only move slightly left and right, but it's not a big deal.
FINAL VERDICT-
Overall, I wasn't originally going to get Cobra Commander, but I'm glad I did. The design grew on me a lot, and I would highly recommend picking this guy up, if you don't mind the new look.

GI Joe Rise of Cobra Destro Review
I have always had a slight interest in GI Joe. But it wasn't until the new movie that I finally started getting into the toy line. So far I only have gotten one figure, that being Destro, and here, I'll tell you whether or not I think you should purchase him or not.
THE PACKAGING:
(This segment will not always appear in reviews)
The packaging is very nice to say the least. The figure and it's accessories fill the bubble, so you really feel likw your getting your moneys worth.

FILE CARD:
Destro
James Mccullen Destro XXIV
Destro is the arrogant, egotistical founder of M.A.R.S. Industries and, like his ancestors, a brilliant designer of military weapons that he sells to the highest bidder. His burned face is repaired with an injection of nanomites that heals the burns but changes the skin into a sliver mask.
Preferred Weapon:
M.A.R.S. Industries High Oxidizing Temperature flamethrower (HOT-JL)
Also, one thing to note, is that if done correctly, you can have resealable packaging! Slice the tape covering the tabs (Make sure not to cut the tabs themselves), peel the sticky stuff, and cut the bubble at the bottom, and at both sides.

THE TOY ITSELF:
Destro is a very stand out figure. The colors work well, consisting of mostly grey, black, and red, and the "mask" is silver. There is also a hole in his back that allows him to wear as far as I know, any GI Joe backpack.

ACCESSORIES:
Destro comes with quite a few accessories. He has a stand (in above pictures) that has his name spelled across the front. It also doubles as a dog tag with the Cobra symbol on the bottom.
Destro also comes with some guns. my favorite is the black pistol (A). He holds it the best, and I like pistols in general. When not in use, it can be stored in a holster that goes over the coat.
Another gun he has is a small silver gun (B). This gun looks good, but the handle is too small for him to hold it. (It took me a while to get it to balance in the picture)
Next, we have the large silver gun (No picture for this story dude). This is his secend best gun, IMO. It's on the rather large side, and looks good.
Then we have the gun with the wierd ammo magazine (C). To be honest, I can't get him to hold it for cr*p. I usually leave this gun on his left leg.

However, guns B and the one with no picture can combine to form this:

Jawesome. It looks JAWESOME. The only unfortunate part is that the connection is weak, and it's hard to pose Destro with this gun in his hands.
But wait, theres one more!
As far as I know, these guns are not very popular with most fans, and I can totally see why.
Anyway, Most movie Joe figures are packaged with oversized rocket launchers that fire missles. The one that comes with Destro is what I presume is the flamethrower on his file card. Ladies and gentlemen, this gun is BIG!

It looks ridiculous. And that's why I love it.
ARTICULATION:
Label me impressed. When I first ripped this guy out of the package, one thing I noticed was how much articulation he had. When I went to pose this guy for the first time, I said to myself; "Why don't all Star Wars figures have this kind of articulation?!"
Destro has a head joint, universal shoulders and elbows, swivel joints at the wrists, waist articulation, BALLJOINTED HIPS(!), double jointed knees, and universal alckes. All of these joints allow for a good number of poses.

FINAL VERDICT:
I am VERY impressed with Destro. He comes with a plethora of weapons, a stand, has great articulation, and looks good. If you buy GI Joes, I HIGHLY recommend picking him up.
